F4T was started around June 2008 and during that time was a part of the "Altoona Series". Now a part of the Weldon Creek Series, set in mid-Pennsylvania, during 1863, it is the dramatic and passionate story of the lives of the Darson family and their daily battle along the narrow road to Heaven.
Who Are the Main Characters of F4T and the Weldon Creek Series?
The main characters of F4T are the Darson Family(see Character Profiles.) Specificly, Ceceilia, Harold, Emma Eloyse, Jonathan and Lydia. The Dufields family and Corfage-Anderson boys are also included in as sub-main characters. Ingrid Berkeley also.
Another important role in F4T is Harold Darson's younger brother Frederick.
What kind of story is F4T?
F4T is a historical fiction. It is set during the American Civil War. Many of the characters and events are based upon my own personal experiences and people I know or have known. F4T is a dramatic, passionate and discriptive story, from the views of the the main characters. It is intended for older children, teenagers and adults.
What is the writer's goal for F4T?
My goal is that you, (hopefully the reader,) will learn, be inspired, and find yourself wrapped up in this book.
I want you to learn new things! You'll find that I will be very descriptive. I am going to explore some of the less-thought-of experiences of the Union soldiers, and for this matter, the experiences of a Union brigade. I want this book to bring you more familier with what the American Civil War was like, not just as a bloody conflict, but as a Spritual battle, the kind that you and I fight each day.
I want you to be inspired to honor God and to fight your hardest in your own daily battles. (Let your light so shine unto men, that they may see your good works and glorify our Father in Heaven. Matthew 3:16)
I want you to be interested, and as I said earlier, 'wrapped up in this book.' I want you to be able to say that F4T was a very enjoyable and interesting read for you.
When should F4T be expected to be finished?
Late 2009. Possibly longer.
